Before I sold my Powerbook G4, I ran it against the geekbench benchmarks. The difference was pretty drastic. The powerbook got an overall score of 41 and the Macbook received and overall score of 214.4. So Apple is pretty accurate when they say the Intel Core 2 Duo’s are up to 6 times as fast as the PPC G4’s.

NateDogg,
They must be paying you guys a lot over there at UNI. A new Macbook?!?! Those suckers cost as much as my pickup truck! Ok, so I’ve got a crappy pickup truck. But that’s not the point. How is it working. And how much did you sell your Powerbook for? And did ya’ even think about me, who’s desperately trying to become a Mac fan? No, of course not. Darn you. Hope the Macbook is sweet. And I hope it fries on you so you sell it to me for cheap.
Just kidding! Hope you’re doing well!

Nate,
You’ve gotta’ update this blog. How the heck am I going to know what’s going on when I’m in North Carolina if I can’t keep up on the latest “Nate News”? Oh, and the IPhone rules too. See, I’m becoming a Mac geek. All I need is an extra 2 Grand and I’m golden!

Nate-Dogg,
Yesterday was nicer, a high of 59! But, the next time you find one of those “older powermacs” for $50 let me know. I still want to experience the joy of a Mac. Give me a hollar some time via e-mail.
I hope you are doing well there in the frigid tundra of Iowa. I’m doing well here in warm North Carolina. It was cold today, only a high of 46 degrees!
Talk to ya’ later!
Andy
